As you know, Dune: Part Two, one of the most eagerly awaited films of this year, continues to maintain its place on the agenda. In fact, the popular production will appear with Dune: Awakening, an open world survival game set in the same universe. As part of the Dune Direct event held yesterday, the first images from the multiplayer production were shared.
Reportedly, Dune: Awakening, developed by Norwegian game developer Funcom with Unreal Engine 5.2, will take place 8 years after the first movie. The shared trailer looks visually very impressive. So much so that we witness the harsh conditions of the planet Arrakis, from its harsh climate to sandworms. It also sheds light on the survival elements of the game, including various materials and base building.
Chief Creative Officer Joel Bylos says the following about the basics of the game
Dune Awakening is a basic survival game and starts off like a traditional survival game. You are looking for water, you are looking for shelter. Where will you find water in the desert? Will you get it from others? When we talk about survival, we start with the basic survival genre, and once you've survived long enough, it's time to think about political survival and how you move through the universe.
Dune Awakening doesn't have a release date yet. However, as of now, beta registrations are available on the
official website. Let us remind you that the game will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X.
