This answer may be a bit late and I am quite unsure if you will read this, but anyways, here you go:
Trustworthiness is dependent on the individual trader. As a rule of thumb you can look at their black markets reputation below their name.
The more green points (=positive feedback from customers) they have, the higher the chance of them being trustworthy.
If you want to purchase sth. via Epvp you should inform yourself about the trading guidlines.
In short: if you purchase sth via Epvp, always request a trade (button can be found below their name as well). If you do not do so and they screw you over, there is no support in the forum (which means chances are they are not getting banned etc.).
If they denie the use of the request-a-trade-function, chances are that they are not trustworthy.
Credits mostly are sent via SWTOR ingame mail, but some guys do face-to-face trading.
5000k means 5.000.000 (5 million). K is short for thousand, so everytime you read something like 5kk (5 million), just replace the k with 3 zeroes.
Hope I could help you!
