Sorry, but unless somebody does it completely from their own pocket to keep the server up for nostalgia and fair gameplay purposes, and we have seen examples of this before - wickedsro and especially sroarena, etc., where they owner paid for the host and that's it, then it's just another way for the owner to get some (pocket) money.

If somebody wants to donate for the maintenance of the host (and this should be promoted and advised) then that should be more than welcome and not be rewarded for any in-game (silk) currency.

EVERYTHING should be obtained through in-game activities, (So-Ok) events and game-play.

Not sure how that would work out since the core of the game is pay2win but it is doable, however most owners have the profit as their main goal. I don't see anything wrong with that however I'm sure there are games/activities out there more profitable than SRO.

You said the profit is not in your goal however that's all you talk about in your MS form. You want somebody to do the work for you but you won't pay them until closed beta? Kinda fishy.

I don't see how this is not just another marketing scheme since you promote the nostalgia image and talk about the profit in your MS form, might as well post on the

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is just my opinion.

I literally have 50-100 players on my server and i've been paying out of my own pocket for the past 6 months, that's how passionate I am and the server is still running but I don't see a future to this game nevertheless

That is my point, perhaps I didn't clarify it enough with the additional text on the form. If a strong playerbase is established, the community strong and doesn't jump ship to promote the next "season" of said server...Then by all means I am more than willing to take a hit each time payments are due. I'm not rich by any means, so I am not trying to showboat, or gloat about money but everyone would be compensated, or the hosting fees etc were paid...
You can always make do, if you wish to.
Silkroad has been my life (sadly) since 2005; I can't let that go down the drain to a bunch of individuals who are interested in nothing more than profits (CLEARLY)

Does that mean that the entire game would be revolved around pure in game currency? No, no it does not. Silk is about doing things that you can do by putting in the game play, at a much quicker rate. It's not needed nor a requirement (unless you're like some assholes who made having a prem a requirement to participate in events)but it makes life easier. The key to the whole Pay2win / Play2win is about finding the balance, between the ones who choose to donate (even if it's for something that is cosmetic) and the one who does not.

...Believe me I played silkroad for about a year and a half before I was able to buy Silk. I remember those days lol.

@, I admire that.

Well I have discussed this many times with many game owners, and one of the big ones. The game is partially dead. It has become a business. I am not being racist or anything but Turkish and Egyptian Players have destroyed the community by just trying to make money and not caring about anything else. I am egyptian myself so I know what i'm talking about. The scene became extremely corrupted. There is no longer such thing as community, it's all about guild deals right now and whether you gonna spend money to specific guilds to play your game or not. If you don't you fail. It's just how it is and how it goes. No matter how many years you took to change it. It's not going to, because simply Those guilds and those Egys and Turks will not stop digging for money and playing for money.

From my prespective and my honest opinion. I believe the game is over. There's no potential. I have been paying out of my own pocket for the past 6-7 months and The players that I have already are getting bored because of no more players joining in since most of the nostalgic players hear about a server that has 2k+ players so they instantly go there. after 2 months it dies then they re-do the process all over again.

It has become a loophole for passionate players, and a money-milking machine for guilds and corrupt server owners.

That's the real fact and If you'd like to discuss doing something for the community I'll be more than happy to help you out no matter what the outcome is

I can't say much more than I agree. However, I have to be a little more optimistic, if these money hungry individuals can successfully launch server after server; there is a way for the underdog so to speak.

I'll pm you.

Ok this requires you to make a macro with 2 easy commands. The heal macro works with any heal in the game besides Stim Packs. The macro goes: /attack; /forceheal self This Macro will also work with /bactashot, /bactajab, /bactatoss, /bactaspray,/forceinfusion. Any heal works. When you want to use it hit your macro button 2-3 times and it should heal within 2 seconds. The regular attack macro is basically the same as the heal one but you just add an attack. 8P Now im a carbineer...
