yea , but selling suns is very bad for players ;/ but admin earn much more money by that. :/ ecsro and swsro earing good money too , ecsro have 4 servers , swsro 2 , soon 3 . :]

Joymax could easily do something against PServers...even years ago. So I guess Joymax and the figure called Ocean have had a deal which is no more now. You actually might be right.

But I don't think it's joymax, but whoever owns csro. I knew a guy who talked with ocean or some private server owner. He said that none of the private server owners can run it. The guy from csro has to certify their servers (for $$$). Probably they didn't care about ecsro anymore so no one can do anything now

Why would Swsro be the last to go down? If you give me a good answer, I'll accept it, but just saying it will be last doesn't prove nothing. They're website is down (like ECSRO), servers are down (like ECSRO), no official notices are given (like ECSRO). If you really think they are updating, you are naive. You did this yourself. You found out dupe bugs, and abused them, creating economy crashes in all servers, and even server instability.

Like someone said, the Silkroad Private Servers era is now over. If you want to play, go to iSRO, kSRO, cSRO, rSRO, what ever, but you are now reduced to 1x rates. At least until eSRO comes out, which shouldn't be right away.

If you add all those facts together your result as a normal thinking human is pretty bleak.
In our eyes the era of private Silkroad servers has come to an end. Therefore is ECSRO not going to come back. Only the fact that there is no information from Ocean - despite our emphasis - creates suspiciousness which throws up a few questions:

Why is a refusing an answer at all?
Why did all servers shut down for real (no check or error in the launcher)?
Why is the official homepage changing owners / hoster?

Nothing is definite at the moment and hope dies last, but guys... put two and two together and think for your own.

In case something with ECSRO changes we would appreciate it and inform you immediately in our forum / page - but we don’t believe in a change. To the ECSRO team: "The times are changing, please do not publish any information which is not based on real facts. Be honest to the community - the players are the ones who brought ECSRO up, not you! You did a great deal for ECSRO and deserve respect for it. Don't blow it with the community now. They got the right to know the truth - and only the truth."

We, the sro-db Team, are currently not sure about the future of the page (the original one where you were able to search for chars etc) - we would appreciate some suggestions and your opinion.

my FIRST thought: POLICE!!!
either in germany suing eike aka P-master/Sweety, or suing Ocean in china..
i can't think about anything else.

the weird thing is, that MYSRO is still online.. and we all know that ocean is running MYSRO as well.

so could this be due to the updated client? (europe maps, new skills,new cap,new items)
maybe joymax saw that they improved their files and that they actually stole a lot of **** (euro maps etc) and they decided to take action against him.
i have no idea ^^
maybe just someone killed him in china. who knows

swsro2 down cuz update,test new things and fix bugs..
and ecsro i like to think that is closed forever finally....and i hope it's true.

If swsro wouldnt work then the launcher wouldnt even appear as online or the website would be complety removed.

joymax has the power of suing them for a lot of $, and i mean ALOT, and stealing the files + making profit from them cud even bring them a few years in prison (i know this cuz it happened to a friend of mine).

+ i bet, alot of players who werent happy about ecsro/private servers, probably reported them to joymax, but why wudnt the greedy joymax do anything about it? ye exactly like what dread says, they probably (which im like 80% sure of it) had some sort of a contract, meaning they probably gave a bit of the profit to joymax. and since ecsro started to fail, joymax broke the contract, and forced them to close.

Hm, I find that hard to believe. If Joymax had a contract with them, or anything like that, and knew they were "failing" because of that dupe bug, they would've gave them the solution for it, keeping them online and running smoothly. Just my 2 cents...

well maybe, they had no time to spend on a ****** priv server?
and the same exploit happened on isro too, (some guy started duping 42 suns and making them +10) , so ecsro team cudve fixed the bug if they wanted to actually.
i think joymax just got fed up of this ****, so they sued them. i mean its been almost 3 years since ecsro started, and joymax didnt see ecsro for 3 years?
but , yeah u have a point, but the idea of joymax having a contract with them has a higher chance of being true than any other ideas tho, am i right?
