V10 released!
Essentials v10: Major Update
This is one of the most important updates of the project and it's recommended to skip using older versions.
This new version it's the most polished, fixed and functional and it's the best choice to start.
Bug-fixes:
- Mantle merchants and badge merchants now spawn as usual at server start.
- Bugs related to mantles have been fixed (Ex guild name dissapearing)
- Archer/hunter attack bug repaired.
- Txt file for 75 and 76.wld files have been fixed.
- Fixed an incorrect interface position for the Trading interface.
Source change:
- Ijl16 (Elemental color feature) and CustomGame (Remote NPC and commands) have been removed and the sdev now contains those functions.
Elemental color feature:
- Now working with pre-elemental weapons.
- Now uses the elemental parameter than using a lapis ID parameter to show the colours.
New commands:
- /wings on /wings off
- /pet on /pet off
- /costume on /costume
- /eft on /eft off
*Costume command needs you to change map or relog to make effect, but only once you use the command, then it's applied permanent.
The commands generates a change on your CONFIG.INI file, puting a FALSE parameter.
This means the commands are permanent as long as you don't disable/enable them again, you don't need to re-use everything at every login.
Updates:
- Several info updates on some project guides.
- Several common items now have 255 stack.
- Removed old spanish text used by the item mall and some items.
- Added a custom minimap for GRB map (Map 50). It also shows the portals and boss locations.
- Removed tons of interface files not used by the client. Also removed some clutter files.
- Removed GRB portal level restrictions; you can change to default just replacing the svmap 50.
- Tons of .DDS and .3DC files polished and fixed for the costumes.
- Added a custom interface for Remote NPC's at 'Options'.
- Map 42 (Auction house) now have new ladders and a portal to OI; it comes from the Korea version of the game.
- The auction house now can be used globally on any map; by default only capitals and map 42 have posters.
- Several Maps now uses EP6 svmaps, with all vanilla contents of that episode.
This includes several features:
/ New gatekeepers on the bases for quick dungeons shortcuts
/ Capitals now have new auction boards
/ Map 15 and 30 now have new EP6 quests
/ Capitals now have the quest for the Lv80 gears and accesories
/ Other minor changes
Changed: Essentials base costumes
Back in the v7 the costumes have been expanded to up to 255 in some classes.
This have proven to be unhealthy for the base project since it overload the data with tons of recolors, repeated files and costumes that no one uses.
To make the base data more vanilla-like and more lighther, the costumes are back to the v1-6 parameters.
This includes:
- 80 Costumes 100% working and polished for all classes.
Im not longer supporting older versions of the project, if you want to keep those costumes you can use previous versions at your risk.
Changed: Custom Maps
Again in the v7 lots of custom maps have been introduced. Most of them have never been used and have bugs that can't be solved easily.
For this reason and to give a better map list clarity, most custom maps have been removed and the maps are now mostly vanilla:
- Maps 82 to 99 and Maps 109 to 130 have been removed.
- Map 82 it's now winter kingdom.
- Map 83 it's now beach OS Map.
- Map 84 it's now Volcano Island.
Battle zones are still working as usual without changes.
Maps 82 and 84 now have custom svmaps with functional respawns, bases and common stuff.
The Map ID list have been updated to show the new list.
Removed: Client Scripts
This scripts are useless for most people since they can't apply the changes permanent to the executable.
For this reason they are removed from the project, to avoid confusion.
It's planned to implement the scripts features as a permanent enchancement on the sdev, but in other versions.
Not-implemented but planned:
- Remote auction house on help options > For now opens the Bank.
- Remote PVP Quest take and finish on help options > For now it's only a merchant.

This is a Bowie iniciative to make the client stuff open and let people expand the project if they want.
Please consider switching to this version and get rid of older ones.
