Christmas event is ON, ok, but where are those cool costumes and pets?
These weeks will be full of surprises for you because this is not everything you'll get.
Except the cool things we already added and the reworked tombola, we will split everything in 3 phases:
- Phase 1 - Today: Adding the Christmas costumes, PvM boosters (Lollipop, Amulet, companions) and many other things!
- Phase 2 - Friday (20-12): Some new things will be added, just keep an eye on IS!
- Phase 3 - (24 and 25 December): Our Christmas gift for you! <3
That being said, we wish you some wonderful weeks here, with us! ❤
It's good to have new clothes on the New Year's Eve. It's a well known thing.

P.s.2: We will also have a package where you can buy everything much cheaper !

One of the questions that always are posed about private servers is the legal and ethical issues that come from the use of copyrighted software for your own profit. As we all know, Metin2 is originally a creation from YMIR Entertainment and no matter how much of our own we put into it, we would never forget that without the korean company we would not be enjoying this game.
In January 2013, after we quit the SG team due to the huge corruption issues, we approached YMIR with the intention of obtaining a license for our server. Our requests for a talk about the subject were never answered, so we decided to proceed further opening a private server. However, we always felt the need to give back what was given to us. Yet, YMIR Entertainment and Gameforge are multimillion dollar companies based in two of the richest countries in the world, that do not want or need our humble earnings at all. Giving back to the world in general, seemed like a better idea, and very appropiate for a worldwide community such as ours.
World of Metin2 has players from over 100 nationalities, but there are many people in the world who can't play our game - almost half of the world population live below the poverty line with an income lower than 2.5 USD daily, according to the 2007 human development report. These people do not only not have access to PCs to play our game - they barely have access to the food needed to keep themselves alive.
When we started creating World of Metin2, one of the ideas we had in mind was to donate a part of our earnings to charity. As we experienced huge difficulties maintaining the server afloat due to the constant attacks from Metin2 SG, we even had to give up our own pay occasionally so we could invest in keeping our project running. Therefore, the idea was left aside until now, as we had no profit at all from the game.
As of today, World of Metin2 has become one of the biggest Metin2 private servers worldwide, and in this month of July, the business started being profitable. Therefore we have decided to donate 5% of our net profit to the international NGO Oxfam. Here's an excerpt from the Wikipedia article about this organization:
Oxfam is an international confederation of 17 organizations working in approximately 94 countries worldwide to find solutions to poverty and what it considers as injustice around the world.[1] In all Oxfam’s actions, the ultimate goal is to enable people to exercise their rights and manage their own lives. Oxfam works directly with communities and seeks to influence the powerful, to ensure that poor people can improve their lives and livelihoods and have a say in decisions that affect them. Each organization (affiliate) works together internationally to achieve a greater impact through collective efforts.
World of Metin2 becomes the first private server where spending cash will not only help make your character stronger - it will also help, within our humble possibilities, towards building a better world.
Sincerely yours,
The WoM Team
post from 2014, seeing newer servers start, you still earn my respect like noone else in this scene
wished u good luck 5-6 years ago and still happy to see that ur project is still going on
you really deserve everything you had/have with your server
We want to start this year on the right 🦶 and come with some improvements.
A plan for the first quarter of the year was drafted and you might be curious about it.
The main thing for this period is to focus the newcomers but not necessarily stoping here.
Stability and a loyal community are the two pillars that hold up WoM2 even now after almost 7 years.
A server with a dedicated team which fights endlessly in order to provide the best Metin2 experience for its community.
After all this time we’re still here...together. A decade with WoM2 sounds much? I think not.
Join us today and be a part of the story!
I know that the server is 7 years old, but it doesn't mean Gf can't shut down this server as well.
I mean if they were able to kill rubinum and aeldra the biggest private servers, why they wouldn't kill this1!?
That's the reason why I'm asked it.
