Is there any reason why someone selling a LoL account would not want to give out his summoner's name before trading?

i think ,because it`s ilegal to trade lol accounts and if the support team from riot sees it. they ban the account...

but i`m not sure!

Yes, it's the real reason. Trading is ilegal like boosting, so they will not give you the summ. name before trading.
