Guild Wars 1 Remake

Hey Leute,

ich spiele seit einiger Zeit mit dem Gedanken, einen Versuch zu starten ArenaNet davon zu überzeugen, dass GW1 (ähnlich wie bspw. WoW Classic) ein Remake benötigt. Sodass die ganzen alten Spieler nochmal die Möglichkeit haben, neu anzufangen und zu zocken.

Bisher ist es nämlich so, dass ich einige Leute kenne die nochmal zocken würden, aber Dank der leider sehr geringen Spielerzahl in GW1 es nicht tun. Gäbe es mehr Spieler, würden auch mehr wieder zocken. Ein Teufelskreis also :-D

Was haltet ihr von der Idee, dass wir einen Reddit-Post (Ich weiß 2016 gab es schon mal einen, aber der war so klein aufgebaut, dass ich zB absolut null davon mitbekommen habe) verfassen, in dem wir direkt an ArenaNet schreiben.

Wir versuchen dann natürlich so viel Aufmerksamkeit wie möglich zu machen, damit der Post ganz oben landet.

Wer wäre dabei?

Einfach liken, oder drunter schreiben oder so

I've been thinking for some time of trying to convince ArenaNet that GW1 (like WoW Classic, for example) needs a remake. So that all the old players have the opportunity to start again.

So far, it is true that I know some people who would play again, but thanks to the unfortunately very small number of players in GW1 do not do it. If there were more players, more would play again. A vicious circle :-D

What do you think of the idea that we write a reddit post (I know there was one in 2016, but it was so small that it got zero Attention) by writing directly to ArenaNet.

Of course we try to get as much attention as possible so that the post ends up at the top.

Das ganze ist zwar ein träumerisch netter gedanke aber ich denke nicht dass da auch nur ansatzweise zu erwarten sein könnte dass der versuch Früchte trägt. Kurz gesagt der Zustand von GW ist ja gewisserweise auch ein Großteil Schuld der Community. Da geht es auch nicht mal nur um die Goldseller und Bots. Das spiel ist einfach toxic ohne ende, die Spielerzahl von gw1 ist eigentlich sogar noch tragbar, nur sind die Leute die es spielen viel zu sehr mit ihrem Drama beschäftigt.

Auf der anderen Seite hat ArenaNet Guildwars1 Support Technisch völlig abgehakt. Der Playersupport ist mehr oder weniger nur noch eine Formalität die halt erfüllt werden muss. Letztenendes ist das ganze einfach eine Einstellungssache wie man mit dem Spiel umgeht. Letztlich ist die ursprüngliche Atmosphäre und das Mindset der Spieler nicht mal eben wiederherstellbar. Zumal sie damit ja den verbleib der aktuellen gw Community spalten würden zwischen denen die auf dem normalen und dem Remake Server spielen. Auch eine privatisierte servervariante wäre langfristig kaum eine Lösung.

Ich will auch hier deine Idee nicht direkt verteufeln, klar gibt es auch viele Optionen für Arenanet dabei Gewinne einzufahren aber von der Finanzierung und Umsetzung wird die wohl niemand mehr überzeugen ;P Da würde ich dir eher empfehlen einfach Leute für zum Beispiel die Ironman Challenge zu begeistern und das Spiel aus einem anderen Winkel zu betrachten.

Das mag vielleicht ein heftiges Statement dazu sein aber wenn arenanet wirklich gw verbessern wollen würde, müssten sie eher kostenfreie Sozialtherapie in Kamadan anbieten als irgendwas am Spiel zu ändern.

I would be certainly up to. Been loving gw 1 for ages and I am not planning to stop on that :P

They are too invested into GW2 for that to happen. Besides, do you really risk failing to recreate the uniqueness of GW1? As much as I would love for it to happen and be a success, I don't think it will.

There is no real risk to it to be honest. Guild Wars 1 is unique by itself. If they would offer full-blown support and maybe add some new pvp(emotes/titles)/pve titles and maybe add some new expansion content that would trigger a mass sale of unbelievable proportion.

This game is hands down the best mmo ever created (i know it's an opinion). Guildwars 2/WoW or any mmo to date aint got **** on guild wars 1 PvP system. Only PvE could be a little bid be stronger/more addictive but you could solve that with adding some new good content. The Gvg and heroes ascent battles were very intense and required real teamwork to be any decent (top75).

It was so addictive getting those pvp titles. I was rank 9 before factions came out and farmed Heroes Ascent day and night. Playing Iway/balanced/ranger spike, Blood spike etc. Back then Droknar was still a selling place (like kamadan is now), farming UW with my 55hp monk and offer runs on my warrior from ascalon to droknar or Santum cay.

You cant really farm UW with 55HP because Skeletons of Dhuum would just 1shot you.

You can still but its super difficult, lucky, and not fun at all. If you do perfect pulls you can wall block skele attacks and for dying nightmares you can disrupt a single with skills like you move like a dwarf or pro mode is use complicate from mesmer to disrupt and add cool down on multiple nightmares to buy time to wand them down.
