Uminchu - Auto Fishing Bot

Regarding it's description, I changed the opening line in the OP at the same time ("fishing and automation bot") I introduced these options. I mentioned on the first page of this thread about a year ago that I was thinking about adding these kinds of features. Unfortunately, I don't think I can change the title. I don't see this as a major issue as long as the bot is properly obeying settings and has clear options for these (a current flaw). Desynthesis is such an obvious help for many fishers and other tools become a natural extension from a design perspective. One problem is that I released a unpolished product to everyone - sorry for that - but also now I know what I need to fix.

It absolutely should NOT skip any dialog while the setting is off. None of these should do anything while they are off. I didn't realize that's what you were saying. Definitely a bug and I will fix that.

Yes, that's exactly how gathering should behave. Like desynthesis, you need sprint on your keyboard style hotbars somewhere for gathering to work. Due to a temporary issue with the way I'm reading ready states, the best spot for sprint is hotbar 1, slot 12. As I said next time I can work on it I will fix this problem (sprint can be on any keyboard style hotbar slot in the future).(fixed) It does nothing for collectable gathering.

[edit] Hmm, I checked OptAutoSkipDialog=0 in the [Settings] section of the ini file and it doesn't skip any dialog for me. Are you sure you have it set to 0? Make sure uminchu.exe is closed when you change this or it will overwrite it when it closes.

I have it set to 0. That's why I specifically said it happened after desynth, in case the desynth not working got triggered on retainer speaking to instead.

Using dx9 if it makes a difference.

Hmm. I have a sprint macro on my bar instead of sprint itself, now that I think about it. (I macro'd in to summon a random minion every time I sprint.) That's probably it. And I kept thinking "But I have sprint on my bar!" and only just now thought that it's not a 'true' sprint lol

Guess I'll wait to test those features until you don't require that, then. I like my macro. =D

Okay, I think I see it's a problem with the auto desynth going wild when it's not sure about sprint. Intentional speaking to the retainer won't skip the dialog, so dialog skip is properly disabling itself.

You can try /micon Sprint on the first line of the macro and it's possible that might work. (nope, doesn't work) You can try to put a real copy of sprint on one of the shared-class hidden bars (many people hide bar 6 or something) and never interacting with it.

Either way I'll look for a better ready check than skill buttons in the future.

Yeah already had /micon on it again that's why I semi-forgot it was a macro, heh.

I'll just leave it turned off until a better ready check is available. I don't really desynth that much anyway.

• Fixed hotbar reading. Any skill needed by the bot can be on any of the 10 main hotbars, hidden or not, in any order.

Did you try sendspace on the main post? They seem quite reliable. It seemed to work for you a couple weeks ago.

Love the bot just hate how the game wont let you spam the same spot fishing is so boring.
