So here's something I've been wondering about for years. How come the Darkorbit community is so illiterate? Every single time I see somebody typing in the global/company chat or on the forums their English is beyond horrible. Is it really filled with tens of thousands kids who skip school to play Darkorbit? Perhaps even older guys who dropped out of school just to play Darkorbit and spend all their money on it?
9/10 times I see somebody with the worst English possible.

A lot of it is people who speak german, spanish,russian, etc trying to speak with English players many of the people i play with english is not their 1st language yet they can type it and understand pretty well

It's not hard to pay attention in school, unless of course you're mentally deficient like the majority of DO players. English isn't my first language either, but my English still seems to be better than 99% of DO's player base. But then again, most of them live in a 3rd world country with the worst possible educational system.

So, in your opinion, if someone doesn't speak english, he's not allowed to play darkorbit, and isn't allowed neither to communicate with his teammates on the chat?

It's not only about English people: when I'm reading announcements, staff answers etc... on the French board, I'm scared :s (and those people were born in France meaning their French should be really good ><')

It seems like french board's staff can't speak french without making stupid mistakes like the french version of the "s" at the end of "ship" when there are 2 ships xD
