i m running media cente, and there was a new updsate that i downloaded today ruined my co is]nstall adnd ni dun feel like reinstallin co but i have to,
DONT USE THE NEW WINSDOWS MALITIOUS SOFTWARE PROTECTION 2007 THING IT WILL DELEATE ALL SORTS OF THINGS THAT U DONT WANT DELEATED AND ARENT INFECTED, just thought id hhelp u ppl

ROFL I'm using mce 2005 and haven't had a problem 'cause I only update with distributable updates(offline update)

well i was forced to dl the malicious softwere protection 2007 AND IT AUTOMATICALLY RAN RIGHT AWAY AND RUINED MY ENITIRE COMPUTER

theres a little option under windows update that allows you to disable automatic updates.....have you tried reinstalling CO yet? mce has tons of problems from i've seen and dont suggest using it unless you acually plan on using the media center program regularly(with remote and all, to a tv, or multiple tvs)
