How to stop the AVG false positive virus pop up

OK some of you might know this, and its also posted on the CO forums but a lot of people don't read so I'm posting it here with pictures.

You can do this before you even get a false positive, but if you do it after chances are you are going to need a new conquer.exe, i recommend futures cracked conquer.exe.

Step 1. Open AVG and click on 'Resident Shield'.(Underlined Below)

Step 2. Once you have the Resident Shield window open click on 'Manage Exceptions'.(Underlined Below)

Step 3. Then
you will get the exceptions window pop up. Click on 'Add Path' (Underlined Below) and select the folder where conquer is installed to. (As Shown Below). Once you have done that click 'Apply' and there you go.

This saves you uninstalling AVG and reinstalling another anti-virus software, or reinstalling conquer.

Don't Forget To Add Thanks If This Helped You.

AVG is not crappy, updates twice a day. False positives doesn't make it crappy. TQ not trying to resolve the issue, which is effecting other anto-virus programs aswell, is crappy.

Lol... If you don't want to use AVG just simply DON'T!. For everyone else AVG is useful...

P.S. I use NOD32 + Kaspersky and Spyware Doctor + SpyBot (with a program that allows you 2 anti viruses from same class) And no my computer is not slow... -_-

Well done, as for AVG being 'crappy' the only virus protection i've found to be better is Avast and its only better because you can disable the link & email scanners without stopping them scan incoming files from direct links.

Oh yeah BTW devilsmum, you might want to disable the 'Link Scanner' completely, nothing to do with conquer it just preloads the pages for every link on a page and makes you internet much slower and sucks up useage if you have limits.

Recently elitepvpers have been flagged as badware site from google. This is a false positive and has no effect to our visitors. The warning got already removed from stopbadware.org and will be removed from the google search results in the next few days (as soon google updates the index).
