EP7 as in priv server? Some of those may have better protection then official seeing as how hellspider/omega+others can unpack the officials for everybody.

If your CE is working on EP7, but you can't find GM perhaps its been modified to protect against exploit, I don't know? I don't have a clue what server your talking about, but for official EU/NA EP7/8 the mentioned methods work fine.

What a priv server is running might not be actually EP7, if thats the case you could have an almost "custom" version, but I don't really keep up on priv servers so your on your own, if your talking about official then your just doing it wrong, there is not much else hints you can get besides hex references/regions to scan, and opcode to search from crckd, what else do you need to actually find gm? Maybe its the server your trying to exploit thats the cause of your in-ability to find it.

I was already informed that client is packed/protected, not just normal attach CE n scan, plus this thread is mainly about ep7/8 official servers, not private. I don't do private servers and have no clue bout finding GM on a custom protected client with admins that know more about exploits then anybody using them does.

As this thread was intended it will stay about official servers, and I won't help you with that specific priv server because I was already pm'ed about it, I don't have any intention on downloading it or trying to exploit a priv server, most are pretty laid back and high drop rates. I don't see the point in using exploits in a priv server community for advantages. Official servers are another story .

Thanks zeke, great tutorial but why did u use 2 different screenshots? First is from EP 7 and second is from EP 8 >.<, its confusing. I searched and modified most of the 00 around the UUU and +2000 from the skill names ASCII, nothing tho Not on official though...GM value should be near the yellow line in memory viewer?

Anyway I wanted to know how to use the technique used by crckd , I've found those addreses, but what to do with them? ^^. Please reply

The yellow is the ascii/hex to search in text type, +2000 to it to get near GM addy.

At the moment there is a slight trend in the distance of GM - AOE addresses if you notice using hex calculator.



Initial EP8 Addresses

Gm - 010688B0
Range - 010B8F10
Aoe - 010B8F14

AOE - GM = 50664
010B8F14 - 010688B0 = 50664


Last EP8 Addresses

Gm - 010698B0
Range - 010B9F10
Aoe - 010B9F14

AOE - GM = 50664
010B9F14 - 010698B0 = 50664


Current EP8 Addresses

Gm - 010698D0
Range - 010B9F30
Aoe - 010B9F34

AOE - GM = 50664
010B9F34 - 010698D0 = 50664.

So I'm assuming once you find GM and verify it through /_1 command, you can just add 50664 to that address in calculator. This isn't a unviersal trend or anything, probably isnt the same on other versions, and it changed from ep 7 to ep 8 the distance from the two addresses, but at the moment it seems the difference has stayed the same since the ep 8 update, just the base addresses have shifted a few times, 1,000 one update, 20 one update, ect ect ect..

Worth noting that trend only applies to NA addresses atm, I never bothered to check other versions.

I've found the AoE adress but changing it doesn't affect in game. I'm 100% that I've found it because I compared the HEX view from Europe to the respective Server.

Is there any other way to find it? I'll post some SS.



EDIT:As I said, on Europe it works and on the other one it doesn't.
EDIT:The GM is active on both servers, I can see the debug message.

Don't know depends on server version, if your comparing official to private then its not very useful. I haven't bothered trying to find GM on any priv servers.
