I came back to iSro

Here is my story. I started SRO in 2007... on eldorrado sever.

I was 14 years old... This game really made a huge impact on me. I remember when I got the first unique kill, my heart beat was like 160-170. I loved every part of the game until you guys know what happened (bots, dying game etc ...)

Anyway I tried looking for my old account last year and I could not find it. I had a level 85 crossbow EU character. I started it on Neptune server (opened in 2007).

So I have like 5-6 emails, and none of them had my account... until THIS YEAR!!! I suddenly found an old email back from 2007... i'm like holy shit, this must be it. I go restore my password and Holy fukkkkk it had my character! I could not believe what am I seeing....

So I login, and it says I have my level 85 crossbow character but I have to merge in. How the fuck I still have my character after 15 FUCKING YEARS???

So I merge my characters to the new server and I try to login...

and yeah fuck it's crowded can't login... but here's the deal, now I am old and I know I have to pay...

should I pay? Well fuck it. I am not a primary school anymore, even though the game is dead, I will pay a login ticket or whatever the fuck is it called. I pay a few bucks and I am logged in.

And then I see oh fuck. The character has 0 gold, nothing in Storage, but I do have all items on my character (Like armor, weapons, I even have a fucking noname wolf!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

So I try to level and collect gold but fuck man, potions are so expensive. I need XL potions but my char has 0 gold...

Well I see some ppl advertise that they sell gold... okay I make a deal with him, not sure if he trying to scam me. But then someone make a global chat and says he is realiable. Okay, I make a deal with him, bought 10 billions of gold for $20... i'm not sure of the rates maybe I am an idiot for paying this much but I am like fuck it man... I don't care these $5, $10, $20 i just wanna see where am I getting of my lost childhood. And yeah he is legit!!! he says open a stall, i make a transfer and boom my character has 10 bill gold (after I payed him on paypal)

Then I am like fuck man I can't level, i have a job now i have shit to do. Back in the days I used Sbot, it must be gone now right? Well no shit... it's still alive! wtf....

so I buy an Sbot for $5 and everything works!!! but yeah I don't want to buy login tickets... so fuck I need to buy premium. but you know what? I don't care the game is dead. I don't care that it's all bots everywhere. I am 30 now and I want to finish my lost childhood. So I get a premium and started botting. The feeling walking around Jangan, listening to music, brings back so much memories. And here is the deal. Nobody is killing uniques!!!

I KILLED LIKE 5 UNIQUES IN A DAY. Tiger Girl, Isy, Cerberus, Captain Ivy etc... it's so easy but it's satisfying. I am reliving my childhood. XDDD server is so weird, nobody camps and kills uniques anymore like back in the day, there's bots everywhere but I don't care.

I am just here to finish up a lost childhood dream.
Level 88 now!

I'm amused and sad at the same time. Cool story bro.

I am curious if this game attracts only 25+ people. Is there youngsters, who like this game? Nowadays young people like super graphics, mobile games. How to involve young people to play this game, is it really dead?

Nice story man, I started way before Eu characters came out, but still had over 5 def accounts. This game was definitely something I won’t forget about my childhood

I'm just like you friend, I played silk from 2004 to 2009, I'm back now and everything is so different, until lv 110 things are ok, now I'm lv 130 and it feels like another game, but I still can't stop xD

isro is really bad nowadays, and really pay2win

I played sro last time in ~2016-2018 i had 110lv bow char in (Pacific server maybe, i don't remember)

Which server i should pick for new char (wizzard or nuker) where can i read for most changes. Sbot is still best bot to use?

One more question - Should i farm sp from begin or there is possible to earn it later?

That last sentence with your childhood dream got me. I had a bad covid infection about 1,5 months ago and didnt know what to do, so I started Silkroad again.

As you already said, I knew I will pay for that, because the last time I played silkroad I was 16 and in School. Now I am 30 years old and want to finish what I started.

I play on Metis, created a brand new account and character, got a SBot Subscription (btw: most ppl tell me to use phBot, it has more functions) and started playing.

In just a few weeks I was involved in the server community, got a nice guild and cool people on whatsapp who play sro for a living and I can buy cheap gold and stuff from them if I need.

I am now lv 96, my highest silkroad character ever, and I just love to let my bot do the thing, help other ppl out with some taxi, kill uniques and have fun.

If anyone wants to start again and plays on Metis, PM me here and I will help you.
If we can get Me+3 other ppl we have enough for party mobs and boost you fast :)


edit: nuuub2008 SP farming is still a thing, but most ppl dont do it with Gap of 9. At higher level you can go Job Cave and that gives huge amount of SP, or u can buy or farm Faded Beads.

What I just learned is that you can buy a package for your fellow pet, so your fellow earns SP and it earns alot.
I started leveling my fellow, its just 63 now, and it gave me SOOOOO much sp yet you wouldnt believe. It's really worth.

You dont even need premium essentially, you just need so spend 300 silk for VIP Silver Status for 24/7 free login for 2 months if u spend it on first of the month. I have a guy in whatsapp you makes you silver 2 month for 10€.

Hello guys , just needed to ask how its going ? are youre still playing and something like that.

Im at the moment playing at rusro , but theres is only 90cap and looks like theres only comes cap upgrades on every 2years+-... , when youre playing silkroad in 2023 youre need feel that new 15dgr items some new skills and something like that , not everytime play on oldschool 90caps.

Also ill know how bad situation is with isro pay2win and botting , but im still ready to ignore all that shit and try to enjoy me game , i was checking around much time for others/upcoming mmorpg games and ill feel like the new games not for me anymore , maybe im too old lol , and will never find the mmorpg game which i love to play like silkroad.

But why im posting there , to play on isro for sure youre need comunity/friends/guild to be alive , if youre just come and say lets go , ill coming back to isro its gives you probably max 2weeks till you will get a bored and say fck it , im leaving , because its too depresive to play alone.

So are youre guys have an discord for isro , any isro comunity ?

should be cool to know maybe theres an international (only english speaking comunity at isro ) not the turkish/arab.

If youre still alive guys at isro , should be cool to get any reply with an discord server where youre got yours comunity or something like that.

I was in high school playing from 2005-2009 on Rome. I just recently came back less than a month ago to Hyperion, using sbot, I'm currently 78 on my old favorite Bow build, and 68 on my wizard/bard. I found a nice guild with a good sized union that has a Discord channel. The guild master and his wife recently came back from the beginning years of Silkroad too. It's been fun seeing all the new stuff and not to mention the lvl cap has near doubled! O.O

Very nice story, thank you for sharing your piece of SRO feelings. Basically you started my inner nostalgic hearth with it too.

I never killed an unique on iSRO, but i remember the first Lord Yarkan fight and also got nearly a hearth attack with 180bpm hearthrate xD.

I was playing since the release of the game back in the days (2004 or 2005?). I basically remember asking my mom to play 2 hours more than usual, because i need to reach level 20. Otherwise the guild i was in would kick me because of their minimum level requirement xD (just fyi... My mom did not allowed me, but my sister had still some screen time left that day and made the 2 missing levels for me :D).

Ahhh amazing, i could write a roman full of memories from back there. So many fun, love stories, scam, hackers, etc. etc.

I stopped idk when, but never really found back to the game.


But without starting my roman here i will come to the point...
I dont care now about 20,30 or 50€ a month. I dont care about bots. Just want to play again without reaching max level in a few hours like on the most pservers.

Are you guys still out there?
And if i reactivate my accounts. Where the hell i should do that?

I mean, the nostalgia is real. Let's face it, as much as this game has flaws, it does bring a a little sparkle in us. Making us remember our youthful moments, with sleepless nights of pure grinding. I'd game until the AM, hide the laptop under my bed, and act like I was sleeping when my parents would come in the room. Thinking about it years later makes me laugh.

Nonetheless, keep enjoying it! Once a gamer always a gamer, am I right? Haha.
